Lever Learning Articles:
To share my thoughts I have produced a number of useful articles on getting the most from training. Learning Transfer has also been featured in Ideas – Volume 1. See below or check out my blog for more articles.
1.The Manager’s Role in Training
Australian companies spend $4 billion a year on training. In most cases 90% of that money is wasted. While executives instinctively know current training programs aren’t achieving the desired results, often they don’t know what to do about it. In this article, Emma Weber explores how companies can improve the return on their training investment.
2. Reflection and Feedback in Learning Transfer
Companies have been using adult learning principles for two decades to improve training effectives. But are they living up to their promise? In this article Emma Weber looks at how training is only part of the equation and that unless and until behavioural changes occur, knowledge and skills are not transferred from the training room to the workplace.
